London Nootropics, founded by childhood friends Zain Peer and Shez Shaikh, launched in March 2020 after two years of developing their adaptogenic coffee blends. Their mission is to make high-quality adaptogen extracts accessible and easy to incorporate into daily diets, helping people discover the benefits of adaptogens, stay balanced, and find their flow.
The inspiration for London Nootropics stemmed from Zain and Shez's personal experiences. Seeking a healthier alternative to chemical-laden pre-workout drinks, they began experimenting with natural ingredients in their coffee.
London Nootropics product line features adaptogenic coffee blends designed to provide the benefits of regular coffee while minimizing side effects such as jitters and crashes. These blends include 'Flow,' aimed at enhancing mental clarity; 'Zen,' formulated to promote calmness; and 'Mojo,' intended to boost physical performance. Each blend combines high-quality coffee with specific adaptogens to support various aspects of well-being.
A key goal for London Nootropics was boosting repeat purchases, as returning customers were key to their growth. However, they struggled to figure out the best time to reach customers for maximum impact. Even a slight increase in repeat buyers would make a big difference in revenue.
Their old approach relied on Klaviyo’s standard Replenishment flow, which didn’t account for customers’ unique product usage patterns. Everyone was targeted at the same time, regardless of individual needs.
Worse, the CTA led customers through a long shopping journey—from the product page to the cart and finally to checkout. This process created unnecessary barriers, causing them to lose valuable repeat sales.
As Zain Peer, Co-founder of London Nootropics, commented on the problems faced before Relo.
London Nootropics used Relo’s predictive reorder feature to send emails through Klaviyo at just the right time. Each email was personalized based on what customers bought when they bought it and their shopping habits.
How did they do it? London Nootropics connected Relo to their Shopify store. Relo predicted when customers would need to reorder by looking at things like past purchases and order frequency.
Relo then synced these insights directly to Klaviyo, allowing London Nootropics to act quickly and drive revenue.
Here’s an example of a London Nootropics email with personalized predictions for the customer. For example, Relo suggested Tracey reorder the "Big Box" based on her previous orders. This made the emails personal and increased sales.
To make the buying process even smoother, London Nootropics implemented Relo’s Magic Cart. Magic Cart:

Thanks to these updates, London Nootropics greatly boosted repeat revenue and Klaviyo's efficiency. They achieved a 36x increase in repeat revenue, and their replenishment flow became the 4th best performer in Klaviyo.
